The eye in speech bubble emoji was launched in 2015 as a special initiative by the Ad Council as part of their anti-bullying campaign, โI am a Witnessโ. The emoji is meant to encapsulate this campaign name, and signifies that not only has someone witnessed an act of intimidation, violence or bullying, but also that they are willing to stand up and speak out against it. It is a black or grey emoji with a single white eye contained within it. It can be used to show solidarity with a bullied friend, or to indicate that you will support, help and speak up from them.
